The viral video of the NAIA cop went viral during the past few days when PO2 Alejandro Pineda Jr., ordered MGE taxi driver Boots Imagata to surrender his license for illegally picking up passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

Based upon the video posted on Facebook, the taxi driver refused to surrender his license because he felt he was singled out by the cop, which angered Pineda resulting in smashing of the taxi’s window at the driver’s side.

According to the latest report and in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN, Manila International Airport Authority general manager Jose Angel Horado noted that the airport police office will be temporary relieved of duty while the investigation is ongoing.

The airport cop, on his part, made some moves and filed a complaint before the Pasay fiscal’s office against the taxi driver fro resisting arrest and disobeying a person in authority. He also filed a separate complaint against the taxi driver before the LTO for obstruction of traffic and disregarding traffic signs.
