Low Pressure Area (Bagyong Seniang) Enters Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)

The country’s weather bureau, PAGASA, released their 5:00 AM update of the Low Pressure Area, according to their latest weather bulletin, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was located at 480 km east of Surigao City as of 4:00 AM today, December 13, 2014. Once the LPA formed into a tropical depression it will be named as “Bagyong Seniang.”

PAGASA noted that aside from the Low Pressure Area (LPA), the Northern Luzon portion of the archipelago will be affected by Northeast Monsoon (amihan).

PAGASA forecasts that most of the Visayas Region will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods or landslides.

Central Visayas or the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Leyte and Siquijor as well as the provinces of Masbate, Sorsogon, Albay, Surigao Del Norte, Agusan Del Norte, Dinaga, Misamis Oriental and Camiguin will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The Cagayan Valley Region, Cordilleray Administrative Region and Ilocos provinces will be cloudy with light rains, while the rest of the country including Metro Manila will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

We will update this post as soon as PAGASA will release the hourly bulletin of the Low Pressure Area which will be named as Bagyong Seniang once the weather disturbance develop into a tropical depression.
