One Direction successfully made a remarkable achievement in the music industry as they became the only group to score four consecutive No. 1 debuts on US Billboard charts.

The fourth album of One Direction followed the band’s huge success of their three previous albums namely “Up All Night,” (2011); “Take Me Home,” (2012); and “Midnight Madness” (2013). All three albums scored an unprecedented No. 1 ranking in US Billboard chart.

According to some music experts the sales of “Four” may have been boosted after One Direction won three times at Sunday’s televised American Music Awards, including the night’s top place for Artist of the Year.

Aside from getting the award, the British boy band also performed a new song during the event titled “Night Changes.” The success of One Direction in US Billboard was just one of the band’s achievement, as they made history on music streaming platform Spotify by scoring the most first-week streams.

The former top-rating album on US Billboard, Taylor Swift’s “1989” dropped to No. 2 this week with 214,000 sales. During the past few days, the album became the biggest debut of the year after opening with 1.3 million copies, and held the US Billboard’s top spot for three consecutive weeks.
