Sarah Geronimo to Interpret Disney’s “Princess” Theme Song (Video)

The country’s Pop Star Princess will add another jewel to her crowning glory as she was selected by Disney to interpret the theme song of its highly popular “Princess” franchise. The confirmation was revealed by the singer actress through a video which was uploaded on YouTube and already garnered thousands of views.

The 26-year-old Sarah Geronimo was featured in a teaser aired on Disney Channel as she announced that she recorded her own version of “The Glow,” whose music video will premiere on December 6, 2014.

The original singer of “The Glow” was English signer Shannon Saunders, the song debuted in 2011 to coincide with the induction of the character “Rapunzel,” from the 2010 animated film “Tangled,” as an official Disney Princess.

The achievement of Sarah Geronimo is also an achievement of their mother network ABS-CBN, who also produced Kim Chiu, the actress who was confirmed by Disney to portray the role of Mulan from the 1998 animated film project.

The Walt Disney classic series, Mulan was also portrayed by a Filipino artists and Disney Legend, Lea Salonga. The Voice of the Philippines coach Lea Salonga previously provided the singing voices of two Disney Princesses, Mulan and Princess Jasmine of the 1992 film “Aladdin.”
