The television host and radio personality Amy Perez announced that she will soon marry her long-time partner Carlo Castillo. She made the announcement during the live broadcast of the morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda” on Friday September 10, 2014.
The “Singing Bee” host described her upcoming marriage as a “new journey” with Carlo Castillo, a radio host and brother of GMA News anchor, Cedric Castillo.
“I’m just very happy to share with everybody itong bagong journey sa buhay ko. Ayaw ko talagang maiyak. Alam naman ng lahat ng tao kung ano ang pinagdadaanan ko. So I’ll be taking on a new journey sa buhay ko and I’m very, very happy to be sharing it with you guys. Kasi after 15 years, ito na ang hinihintay ko. Akala ko nga baka 60 (years old) na ako ikasal, at least hindi naman. Yes, oo sa wakas [ikakasal na ako],” she said on the show.
The 45-year-old Amy Perez said that their marriage is very important to them and for their children. She said that they are happy and blessed that they will finally tie-the-knot.
The couple have been together for eight years already and have two sons. Amy Perez was previously married also with musician Brix Ferraris, whom she had a son.
Amy Perez has yet to announce the wedding date, venue and other details about their much-awaited wedding. She is one of the few celebrities, who announced their wedding this year.
