Coco Speaks Up On The Bench Fashion Show Controversy

Actor Coco Martin finally speaks up on the controversy he had gone through because of the recent Bench Fashion Show. The issue come up after Coco walk in the runway with a woman on a leash.

On an official statement of the actor through “Aquino and Abunda Tonight,” he said that he was saddened because of the bad feedback he had received after the Bench Fashion Show. The said show was held at Mall of Asia Arena last September 20, 2014. The show itself featured hundred of models including the local celebrities wearing the collections of Bench.

According to Coco, he felt very sad because of what had happened. He explained that he himself also had the fault on what had happened. Perhaps, it’s because he was tired, he did not think much about the role given to him by Bench in the fashion show. On Bench part, they have also issued an official apology for Coco for what had happened.

“Honestly po, sobra akong nalungkot sa mga nangyari. Inaamin ko po ang naging pagkukulang ko. Dala narin po sa pagod sa araw-araw na trabaho, hindi ko nakita ang malalim na kahalugan ng pinagawa sa akin sa Bench fashion show,” he said.

He also asked for forgiveness and understanding to people. He promised to be more sensitive in issues that tackles about the rights of people and women.

He also said that he himself really love and respect his grandmother, mother and his female siblings. With it, he explained that he really don’t have the intention to insult women in any simple or complicated things.

At the end, Coco said that he had learned lessons from it. He also said that he will be more responsible next time on understanding the role and the job given to him before doing it.
