The 3-minute video clip from one of the leading beverage company in the world, Coca-Cola, features how Filipinos say “Thank You” to their fellow Pinoys who have been part of our daily lives.
Most Filipinos were used to called someone with just “Ate,” “Kuya,” “Manong,” “Boss,” “Totoy” and many other general terms for someone whom we didn’t know their real names. When we say thank you to someone, we called them not with their real names because we didn’t really know them although they already touch our lives and have a value in our hearts.
Through the emotional and viral video commercial, Coke Philippines was able to combine a heartwarming thoughtfulness of Filipinos and Coca-Cola’s marketing genius. The company used the Share a Coke campaign to say “Thank You” to those people who are close to our hearts.
