The kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca, who last appeared in the hit series “Ikaw Lamang”, shares his plans after he finished his acting course in New York. He is set to leave for United States later this month for an intensive method acting workshop at Lee Strasburg Theater and Film Institute.
In an interview with Push, the Star Magic artist said that he doesn’t want to entertain the idea of working in Hollywood because he want to go there just to focus on learning more about acting.
“Hindi ko na iniisip magka-offer sa Hollywood, sa akin lang naman I’m more focused into learning there and coming back here and may kakaibang performances akong ibibigay sa tao,” he said.
Jake Cuenca also said that he will be doing some projects in the country after finishing the course, adding that he will look for another workshop again to further improve his craft.
“Pagbalik ko I’m going to do some projects again and then I’m going to figure out what the next workshop will be,” he said.
According to the 26-year-old actor, it was his former “Ikaw Lamang” co-star, veteran actress Cherie Gil who gave him an idea to study in the prestigious acting school. He said that her daughter is also studying there.
When asked why did he decided to study in US, Jake Cuenca said that he always wanted to improve as an actor, adding that he loves acting.
