On the 8th Star Magic Ball held last Saturday, September 6, 2014, Jodi Sta. Maria was called as the worst dressed celebrity. According to her, it’s okay and she don’t mind it anyway.
Jodi also said that it’s her personal choice to wear that kind of suit during the 8th Star Magic Ball. Somehow, she felt comfortable with it anyway and she is happy for it. Her said suit was made by Joey Samson.
“It’s okay. I don’t mind. As long as naging komportable naman ako sa sinuot ko and happy naman ako sa suit na ginawa ni Joey Samson. Kung may mga tao na hindi nagkagusto, okay lang kasi opinyon naman nila ‘yun eh,” she said.
Actually, some fashion critics had put Jodi in their list of those worst dressed celebrities during the said 8th Star Magic Ball. But then, Jodi still don’t mind. What she had in her mind is the fact that she is happy wearing it in the first place. This was based on her interview in ABS-CBN.
Based on her, it was actually her personal idea to wear suit in the ball. This is what she said, “It was actually my idea na mag-suit. Basta sinabi lang namin na old Hollywood and we trust naman Joey Samson bilang batikan na designer. Maganda din and magaling ang kanyang work. Hinayaan namin siya sa sarili niyang rendition ng outfit.”
She just said that she don’t mind and it’s just okay for her. What she just considers is that she was happy during the ball and of course, with her suit. She also admitted that she can’t please everybody.
Jodi had been part of the Star Magic Ball for 8 years. And she believe that it’s about time to change her red-carpet style on the Ball. That’s why she had decided not to wear gown anymore.
Actually, she can’t really please everybody. It’s just part of her life being a celebrity. But then, she is also right when she said that what’s important is she is happy during that night.
