The “Voice of the Philippines” Kicks Off Blind Auditions (Photos)

The country’s most popular and top-trending singing competition nationwide is now back, as ABS-CBN announced that “The Voice of the Philippines” will continue to inspire aspiring musician and singers from different parts of the country. In a series of posts on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, “The Voice of the Philippines” shared behind-the-scenes photos of its first shooting day.

The Voice Philippines Second Season

The top-rating singing competition will be back on air, as they feature the Blind Audition kick-off this coming Sunday, August 14, 2014 featuring the four original coaches namely apl.de.ap, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo and Lea Salonga, the four coaches will be back on their respective red chairs for the singing competition.

The co-hosts of the recently concluded “The Voice Kids,” Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga will be back on their respective positions with the highly-anticipated second season of “The Voice of the Philippines.” This time around, Luis Manzano will team up with Toni Gonzaga, the original host of “The Voice” as main hosts. Alex Gonzaga will be paired with Robi Domingo as the “V Reporters.”

The top-rating and top-trending The Voice of the Philippines, declared Mitoy Yonting as the first-ever winner of the Philippine edition of the world-renowned singing competition. Mitoy Yonting, the vocalist of the local band Draybers, clinched the title with international Broadway superstar Lea Salonga as Mitoy’s coach.

Aside from Mitoy Yonting, the first edition of the “The Voice Kids Philippines,” which concluded last July 2014, the 9-year-old Lyca Gairanod of Team Sarah Geronimo, was declared as the over-all winner.
