Pinoy Big Brother: All In housemate Manolo Pedrosa will mark his first acting appearance via Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) as he gave life to the character of Hiro Mallari, whose girlfriend Michelle Ann “Mitch” Bonzo passed away in the so-called Bulacan State University field trip tragedy. Bonzo will be portrayed by teen actress Janella Salvador.

The upcoming episode of the country’s longest running drama anthology will feature the love story of Hiro and Mitch. The September 13, 2014 episode of MMK also mark as the first team up of former PBB: All In housemate and the “Be Careful with My Heart” star.
Michelle Ann Bonzo and six other students of Bulacan State University died after a raging floodwaters swept them away while they cross Madlum River in San Miguel, Bulacan last August 19, 2014.
The family of the victims blamed Bulacan State University for not giving a full attention on the safety of their children. BSU on the other hand, stressed that they did not lack observance of safety precautions. The school shouldered the funeral and burial expenses of the victims.
The Bulacan State University field trip tragedy has been a hot topic recently. Some netizens noted that the incident must serve as a starting point for condemnation of such out-of-school activities being conducted.
