The teen stars James Reid and Nadine Lustre denied that they are competing with the Kapamilya’s popular love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, whose tandem was dubbed by their fans as “KathNiel”.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, James Reid and Nadine Lustre, dubbed also by their fans as “JaDine”, shrugged off the speculations that they are being prepared to compete with the “She’s Dating the Gangster” stars.
“Hindi naman kami nakikipag-kumpitensya. We’re just being ourselves,” Nadine Lustre said. On the other hand, the “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash” Big Winner said that they are different love team from KathNiel.
James Reid also noted that being compared with other love teams in the showbiz industry is natural. “I think it’s good for us being upcoming stars. It’s good because they’re the biggest love team. We must be doing something right,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Viva artist signed a contract with ABS-CBN network on Tuesday August 26, 2014. The two will be doing several projects with the kapamilya network including albums and TV series.
Now that they are working with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla on the same network, James Reid and Nadine Lustre believe and hope that the rift between their fans and supporters will soon end.
James Reid and Nadine Lustre became one of the sought-after love teams after they starred in the box-office movie “Diary ng Panget”. They are currently promoting their second movie “Talk Back and You’re Dead” which is still currently showing.
