BB Ganndanghari, whose real name is Rustom Padilla, takes the “Ice Bucket Challenge” which raises awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
BB Gandanghari did the challenge after he was nominated by her brother, action star Robin Padilla and his wife actress-host Mariel Rodriguez on Tuesday August 26, 2014.
In the video posted in his Instagram account on the same day, the fitness instructor said that he nominates his former wife Carmina Villaroel and her husband Zoren Legaspi.
“@robinhoodpadilla @marieltpadilla nominated yours truly to do the #alsicebucketchallenge and so this it! And for posterity, I have nominated @mina_villarroel and hubby @zoren_legaspi to take the challenge. 24 hours is on guys!!! Hihi,” he wrote on the caption.
BB Gandanghari and Carmina Villaroel got married in 1994 but they separated after several months. In 2006, the former actor revealed his true identity on the reality show “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition”.
Carmina Villaroel tied-the-knot with Zoren Legaspi in 2012 after her marriage with BB Gandanghari was annulled. They now have two children named Maverick and Cassandra.
Carmina Villaroel and BB Gandanghari has yet to reconcile after they separated and after he revealed his orientation.
Meanwhile, the “Ice Bucket Challenge” is done to raise awareness and funds for ALS community. The participants must take the challenge within 24 hours after being nominated.
If they refused to the challenge, they are expected to donate cash to the ALS community in the United States. They also need to nominate others once they have already accepted the task.
