It’s Showtime co-host Jhong Hilario celebrates his birthday on the noontime program on Monday, August 25, 2014 where he featured a series of performances.
The 38-year-old actor opened the show with a special production number. Dubbed as the “Sampol King,” Jhong Hilario performed a duet with The Voice of the Philippines grand finalist Morissette Amon.
The actor-dancer also performed a rap with Andrew E. He also made a rendition of “Liwanag Sa Dilim” with singer-actor Rico Blanco. Jhong Hilario turned 38 last August 11, 2014.
After his performance, Jhong Hilario took the floor to thank his fans and supporters who supported him throughout his career. He also thank his fellow It’s Showtime hosts.
Meanwhile, during the episode of the noontime show aired on Monday, August 25, 2014, other hosts accepted the highly popular ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. One of them did the challenge is comedian Vice Ganda. But before doing the ice dumping stunt, he challenged Coco Martin, Richard Yap and Director Bobet Vidanes.
Celebrity couple Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia also accepted the challenge. Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis and Karylle has been nominated to do the challenge within 24 hours.
The challenge aims to raise awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The widespread online craze has participated by many local and international personalities. Among those who accepted the challenge are Lea Salonga, members of Gilas Pilipinas and popular Hollywood celebrities.
