Eugene Domingo just say “Let me play the most important role given to me, which is myself,” when asked why she is thinking of quitting showbiz. On her past interview, Eugene said that she is already tired of selling her films. At the same time, Eugene is having her new movie which is the “Barbers Tale.” This came from a news in Philstar.
She also believe that she have already graduated on showbiz and it’s about time for her to focus on other things. According to her, “My state of mind right now, as far as my career is concerned, is that I think I’ve graduated already—at least for the first phase, if we could have phases.”
“I’m not really sure about the word pagod. Kasi if you really want to do something, hindi ka mapapagod,” she said. “It’s just that na-i-insecure ka minsan, and sometimes nauunahan ka ng frustration. Ayaw mo naman sa pessimistic, pero hinahanda mo na ang sarili mo sa masakit, ” she added.
With the given statement of Eugene, many are thinking that’s actually just her way to be able to promote her new movie. Eugene remained unaffected after all. What she just considers is the reaction and the approval of her mother. Perhaps, she is the bread winner of their family and she is really very afraid on how her mother would react on it. If she will let Eugene do it or not.
But then, it all come up to a positive result. According to Eugene, her mother permitted her and just say this words,’Sige, anak, mag-aral ka. Panghabang buhay ‘yan. Nasa likod mo ako’.”
It simply means that her mother is supporting her in her decision. After it, she did not know what to do anymore so she just break down. She was really shocked somehow surprised on the reaction of her mother.
“You know, sometimes you have to admit that you are a child, you’re not always a parent to yourself,” she said.
At the end, Eugene said that she loves theater more rather than doing films. Based on her, she started working in theaters and it seems that she will also get old with this.
