James Reid Felt Flattered Being Compared to Daniel Padilla

The Filipino-Australian actor James Reid said that he felt flattered being compared to one of the most popular teen actors today, kapamilya star Daniel Padilla.

In an interview with entertainment site PEP, the “Diary ng Panget” star said that he already knew Daniel Padilla when he still working with ABS-CBN network. “I used to know Daniel back when I was in ABS-CBN… I’m flattered, really,” he said.

James Reid started his career in the showbiz industry when joined the reality TV series “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash” in 201o and eventually won. In 2013, he signed a contract with Viva Artists Agency.

James Reid clarified that  he did not leave his first home network for Viva since that time he doesn’t like showbiz so the Kapamilya network just let him go. “I didn’t leave ABS for Viva. I really don’t want showbiz back then. So, ABS just let me go,” he said.

Now that he is considered as one of the famous young stars, James Reid said that he is being careful of his actions because everyone was looking after him and he tries to be a good role model.

The 21-year-old actor was given a big break when he starred in the box-office romantic-comedy movie “Diary ng Panget” this year with Nadine Lustre. Due to the film’s success, they were offered another movie again.

James Reid and Nadine Lustre will star in the upcoming movie “Talk Back And You’re Dead“, directed by Andoy Ranay. The film is set to be released on August 20, 2014 in theaters nationwide.
