Talent manager Alfie Lorenzo and Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde had a bitter encounter on the press conference of romantic-comedy movie, “Somebody to Love” on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
During the media gathering, tension gripped after the veteran showbiz mogul called Jose Javier Reyes as “malas” (unlucky). However, Lily Monteverde, whose celebrating her birthday at the time was not happy about the behavior of Lorenzo which prodded her to speak up in defense of Reyes.
It can be recalled that Joey Reyes and Alfie Lorenzo had an encounter before. This is when the talent manager lauded that he was dismay after Judy Ann Santos signed a project without his approval.
Before the press conference have had started, Lily Monteverde gave her warning to the press on not to be scared of Alfie Lorenzo considering that the event might trigger a confrontation between them.
Meanwhile, the movie director took to his Twitter account where he expressed his gratitude to Lily Monteverde. “Thank you, Mother Lily Monteverde. Thank you,” the renowned director said.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Alfie Lorenzo said that he and Monteverde are going talk in order to patch things up. He then reminded the Regal Films matriarchal to recognize her achievements through him.
