Star Cinema’s romantic film “She’s Dating the Gangster” top-billed by the country’s Teen King and Teen Queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo has already earned P200 million since it was released on July 16, 2014. It is now the third top-grossing Filipino-produced film in 2014.
It was confirmed by the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino during the live broadcast of the entertainment talk show “The Buzz” on Sunday July 27, 2014.
“Thank you po sa lahat ng nanood and sa nagkagusto po sa palabas. Talagang maraming, maraming salamat po,” Daniel Padilla said during his guesting at the show.
The movie is the film adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same title written by Bianca Bernardino. Its film version was directed by the box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
In “She’s Dating the Gangster“, Kathryn Bernardo plays the role of Athena Dizon, who unwittingly pretended to be in a relationship with the school bad boy Kenji delos Reyes, portrayed by Daniel Padilla, who wants to win back the heart of his ex-girlfriend.
Aside from the popular love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, dubbed as “KathNiel”, the film also features the timeless love team of Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez.
Completing the casts are the ABS-CBN’s rising teen stars Khalil Ramos, Marco Gumabao, Igi Boy Flores, Sofia Andres, Yana Asistio, John Uy and Alexander Diaz.
“She’s Dating the Gangster” continues to dominate the box office as it is still showing in more than 180 theaters across the country.
