Kapuso actor Aljur Abrenica issued an official statement regarding his alleged petition to leave GMA-7.

The 24-year-old actor filed a Judicial Confirmation of Rescission of Contract against GMA Network, Inc. at the Quezon City Hall of Justice on Thursday, July 24, 2014 to tender his petition to leave Kapuso Network.
Aljur Abrenica, an “exclusive talent” of GMA-7 is requesting a P1 million fine against the network over his “besmirched reputation, sleepless night and serious anxiety.” GMA-7 reportedly required him to work despite he is not feeling well.
Based upon the complaint furnished by Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Aljur Abrenica’s legal counsel. Their camp is requesting for P100,000 in examplary damages and P800,000 for other legal fees.
“Sa totoo nga lang po, ayoko po talagang umabot sa ganito,” Aljur Abrenica told ABS-CBN News. “Ako po ‘yung huling taong mag-de-desisyon na malagay sa ganitong kalagayan.”
According to Aljur Abrenica, he has submitted a formal letter to the executives of GMA-7 hoping that they will discuss the problem. However, the management of GMA-7 insisted to extend his contract. His “exclusive” contract will end on 2015.
Aljur Abrenica is also calling the attention of GMA-7 over the alleged mismanagement on his career. During his interview, he revealed that he had projects to turn down prior to the request of Kapuso Network.
Aljur Abrenica came to prominence as the male champion of “StarStruck” season four in 2007. After his streak on GMA’s talent search, the actor make wave in various movies and television programs with his latest soap, “Kambal Sirena.”
