Daniel Marsh of Juan Direction Mauls Taxi Driver Edward Villanueva

A member of Kapatid Network’s “Juan Direction,” identified as Daniel Marsh was involved in a mauling accident of a taxi driver on Wednesday morning in front of a condominium unit in Mandaluyong. The taxi driver, was identified as Edward Villanueva who worked for World Taxi.

According to the victim, cabbie Edward Villanueva, the TV host of “Juan Direction,” mauled him and damaged his cab when he insisted that the celebrity should pay the P78.50 fare reflected in the taximeter.

In a news report posted by Vera Files on Philippine Star, taxi driver Edward Villanueva, noted that Daniel Marsh got into his cab a little past 5:00 AM outside the Prive Luxury Club at The Fort in Taguig and directed him to go to the Tivoli Garden Residences in Mandaluyong City.

Edward Villanueva stated that Daniel Marsh was complaining that he lost his wallet at the club and upon arriving at Tivoli, Daniel Marsh just stepped out of the cab and declared “I’m free,” but the driver responded and called out, “No, Sir.” the driver said. Marsh still insisted that he is free and not joking.

The driver narrated further that Daniel Marsh kicked his cab when he insisted on being paid, Villanueva stated that he got out of the car and Daniel Marsh mauled him and even hurt him with a head butt.

After mauling the driver, the Juan Direction member threw him a P100 bill before he went up to his condo unit. Based upon eyewitness accounts, she heard loud banging and saw a foreign-looking young man, cursing, kicking, banging the taxi he alighted from. When the driver stepped out of the car, he punched him, cursed, shouting invectives to the driver, the eyewitness noted.

During the mauling incident, the poor driver was beating and his taxi’s window was broken. The driver Edward Villanueva reported the incident to Barangay Hulo in Mandaluyong.
