The country’s longest running drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) on its July 26 episode will feature the story of cancer patient Rowden Go who married his girlfriend Leizl, hours before he passed away.
Actor Carlo Aquino will portray the role of Rowden Goor Hazzy, the 29-year-old patient who was diagnosed with advanced stage 4 liver cancer while Kaye Abad will play the role of Leizl, his girlfriend for more than four years.
The video of Rowden Go and Leizl‘s marriage went viral after Rowden’s brother Hasset uploaded it on world’s largest video-sharing site, YouTube. The video continues to dominate with more than 11 million views as of posting.
Based upon the accompanying caption to the clip, the couple was supposed to get married on July 8, 2014 in time with his 30th birthday.
However, they decided to organize the nuptials upon the request of Rowden Go who was ailing at the time. Their wedding was held the Philippine General Hospital in Manila last June 11, 2014. Unfortunately, Rowden Go died.
Rowden Go is survived by his wife Leizl, their daughter Zakiah, mother Lorelei, and brothers Hassem, Hisham and Hasset.
