According to the camp of Katrina Halili, they will question the decision of the PRC, for the premature decision because of the two-year waiting period before a former doctor can file for a petition of reinstatement of his license has not yet lapsed.

Atty. Raymond Palad, one of Katrina Halili’s lawyer, noted that the counting of the two-year waiting period should begin after the Court of Appeals (CA) made its final decision during the year 2012.

The legal counsel of Katrina Halili, Atty. Palad was quoted as saying “Nagtataka lang kami sa bilis ng proseso na ginawa ng PRC. Hindi ko malaman kung anong special consideration ang binigay dito when in fact ilang daan or ilang libong kaso pa ang nakabinbin sa PRC sa petition for reinstatement ng mga lisensya, hindi naman doktor kundi ng iba pang propesyon na binawi nila ang lisensya,” he said in DZMM interview.

Atty. Palad contends that the PRC’s decision came too early because Hayden Kho could only file for reinstatement after July 26, 2014. The camp of Katrina Halili plan to appeal the recent decision of the PRC, they also clarified that their complaint is not anymore against Hayden Kho but against the practice of the PRC in reinstating Hayden Kho.
