The Grand Slam-seeking team, San Mig Coffee Mixers will try to avenge their Game 4 defeat at the hands of the Elasto Painters. Rain or Shine successfully extend the best-of-five championship series into a phenomenal Game 5 of the PBA Governors Cup with the final score at 88-79.

San Mig coach Tim Cone is also seeking a rare second grandslam for the Purefoods franchise after he successfully led Alaska during the early 90’s for its rare grand slam title.

The most energetic PBA team right now, Rain or Shine Elasto Painters wanted to spoil the party of San Mig as they are raring to stop the dream of the Coffee Mixers in capturing the grand slam title.

In the history of the PBA there are only three teams who successfully achieved a grand slam championship. Crispa is the lone team with two grand slam on their name while San Miguel Beer and Alaska had one grand slam title apiece.
