A self-confessed Vilmanian, Ai Ai Delas Alas defended veteran actress Vilma Santos, who has been criticized on various social media sites for her spelling mistakes in a dedication sent to TV host and actress Kris Aquino who first posted the Vilma’s letter on her official Instagram account.

The comedienne Ai Ai Delas Alas was interviewed on Wednesday morning, July 2, 2014. According to the 49-year-old Ai Ai Delas Alas, she admitted that there are instances that we tend to make spelling mistakes and there’s no need to bashed someone, because of their spelling mistakes.
Some netizens keep on bashing the governor of Batangas for her wrong spelling in a message given to Kris Aquino who posted the message on her Instagram account. Kris Aquino also noted that she did not knew that the message sent to her by Vilma Santos has its wrong spelling.
For Ai Ai Delas Alas side, she noted that the best things to do is not to post the message online. She was quoted as saying “Minsan nagkakamali tayo or hindi naman kailangang gawing i-bash siya ng dahil lang doon. Unang-una, what for? Hindi naman sila ang sinulatan. Pangalawa, parang di naman makakaunlad sa bansa natin yung pagsusulat niya,” the comedienne said.
“Sana next time, hindi na lang (i-post). Minsan kapag idol mo ang tao ay proteksyonan mo na lang,” delas Alas added.
Kris Aquino made a follow up post upon learning that the Instagram post featuring Vilma Santos message to her went viral online. The “Queen of All Media,” Kris Aquino apologized to Vilma Santos for posting her message, Kris noted that she didn’t think about the wrong spelling because what matters most for her was Vilma Santos kindness and the thought behind the card.
