Apl.de.ap Excited to Return to “The Voice of the Philippines” Season 2

The original coach of The Voice of the Philippines Season 1, Apl.de.ap of the popular US group Black Eyed Peas confirmed during an interview with ABS-CBN that he is excited and raring to return to the country’s most popular singing competition, to continue his job as coach and mentor of aspiring Filipino singers.

According to Apl.de.ap during an interview with TV Patrol on Wednesday, he stated that he will definitely coming back to show which will be having its season season in the next few months.

Aside from Apl.de.ap’s excited to return to his former job as mentor and coach of the show, he also admitted that he misses his fellow coaches and wanted to reunite with coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo Manalac who are currently busy with their jobs as coaches of The Voice Kids Philippine edition.

The 39-year-old Apl.de.ap also commented that he missed so much the “banter with Lea,his sermon with Sarah and the fun with Bamboo.” He was quoted as saying “The banter with Lea, I can’t wait to do that again. I get to sermon Sarah, so all the Popsters are going to get mad at me again. And me and Bamboo, we are kind of like the allies. It’s going to be fun.” he said.

The Filipino-American rapper also noted that aspiring singers should not be discouraged if they do not make it to competition like “The Voice.” Apl.de.ap advised also gave his advice to aspiring singers and those who wants to join the second season of The Voice Philippines.

He was quoted as saying “To all those aspiring singers out there, just because you don’t win any music competition, don’t give up. Keep believing in yourself, do a lot of shows, utilize all these social media to make yourself known,” he said.
