DOLE June 12, 2014 Kalayaan Job Fair to be Held in Metro Manila (Details)

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced earlier that the DOLE, through its National Capital Region Office will conduct a job fair on June 12, 2014, in celebration of the 116th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence.

According to DOLE the 2014 Kalayaan Job Fair will bring over 35,000 job vacancies, the agency also estimated about 8,957 local jobs and 15,000 overseas jobs, and 11,498 government jobs will be available to the unemployed individuals particularly in Metro Manila areas.

DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz noted that 11,498 jobs offered by the Philippine government, a total of 11,498 job vacancies offered by the Philippine Air Force; the PNP needs 9,994 Police Officers; DSWD has 90 vacancies; BIR needs 1,404 new employees; and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process has 10 vacant positions.

job seekers who would like to work in the government can also apply for the 11,498 job vacancies to be offered by the Philippine Air Force (vacancies to be announced); Philippine National Police, which needs some 9,994 police officers; Department of Social Welfare and Development, which has 90 vacancies; Bureau of Internal Revenue, which needs 1,404 new employees; and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, which has a need for 10 employees.

Aside from the government job vacancies, DOLE-NCR also noted that a total of 96 employers – 71 locals, 20 oversea will join the 2014 Kalayaan Job Fair which will be held at the historic Rizal Park in Metro Manila.
