Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., delivered his privilege speech on Monday, June 9, 2014, in which he stated that he is ready to go to jail but also insisted that he is innocent of the plunder offense charged against him. The speech is quite familiar according to some netizens but the most intriguing part of the speech was when the Senator presented an original song.

The song presented by Sen. Revilla was accompanied by its own music video which had a lyrics “Salamat Mga Kaibigan.” The song was performed by Senator Revilla himself, giving thanks to the people who supported him through the years.
Based upon the lyrics, Senator Revilla noted that he will fight to clear his name from the pork barrel scam which involved not only himself but also his close allies such as Sen. Jinggoy Estrada and Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile.
According to Sen. Bong Revilla he wanted to acknowledge, God his family, fellow senators and his fans who keeps on supporting him despite the fact that is currently faced one of the greatest challenge as a public servant.

The song, which Revilla sang himself, thanked the people who supported the senator through the years. The lyrics also said Revilla will fight to clear his name from the pork barrel scam.
Revilla and two other senators are facing plunder charges filed by the Ombudsman before the anti-graft court, Sandiganbayan, for their alleged roles in the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam.
