Filipino-American Candace Kendall, the winner of the Miss New York 2014 beauty pageant will represent her state in the annual Miss United States of America (USA) beauty pageant which will be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana this coming June 8, 2014.

Candace Kendall is a Filipino-Dutch-American model who won the Miss New York competition last January 2014, she will try to capture the much-coveted title of Miss USA, the winner of the competition will represent United States in the Miss Universe 2014.
In an interview with ABS-CBN’s Balitang Amerika Miss Candace Kendall was quoted as saying “Being part Filipino, I’ve received so much support that I’m really grateful for,” Kendall state.
According to the 24-year-old Rochester-born Filipino-American, if given the chance, she would like to visit and possibly model in the Philippines in the near future.
The Miss USA 2014 beauty pageant featured a total of 51 candidates from various states in the world’s most powerful country, the United States of America. The Miss USA 2014 will be the 63rd edition of Miss USA pageant.
Miss USA 2013, Erin Brady of Connecticut will crown her successor at the end of the event, which will be televised live through NBC.
