“Sometimes I get so excited it really, like, scares people away and I’ve lost a lot of battles for people. I would love it if you would give me the chance. I’d love to work with you,” Joel Madden told the aspiring singer with Filipino roots.

“You have the aura of a star. You just have to fight in what you believe and stand on that stage believing in every second, every word you say and I can work on that with you. Allow me, please, to be part of your journey,” Ricky Martin said for his part.

Joel Madden then handed bouquet of roses to Fely Irvine which added colors on the show hoping that she would choose him. In the end, the Filipino-Scottish singer selected Ricky Martin to be her mentor.
