Jollibee Featured on BuzzFeed Video Went Viral

A United States popular social news and entertainment website BuzzFeed features the Philippines most favorite fast food chain of restaurant, Jollibee. According to BuzzFeed, Jollibee is the “world’s most popular Filipino fast food restaurant,” as their staff tasted the unique taste of Philippine-based fast food chain.

A video showcasing staff of BuzzFeed tasting various Jollibee products was featured on the website of BuzzFeed on May 19, 2014 (US Time). Most of the BuzzFeed staff were Americans who showcased their reactions which were quite entertaining.

According to the BuzzFeed article, Jollibee, is a Philippine-based fast food chain, with 28 locations across 6 states in the United States. They also noted that wherever Filipinos converged, a Jollibee outlet would surely sprout nearby.

The state of California has the most number of Jollibee outlets, most of the three million Filipinos living in the US are based in California. The Filipino brand was already exposed to non-Filipinos in the US.

The video posted by BuzzFeed had already went viral after it was posted online, as of posting time, the video had already garnered more than 260K views on YouTube.

Some of the food that were featured in the BuzzFeed video were Spicy Chickenjoy, Burger Steak, Little Big Bites, and Halo-Halo. According to Jollibee, the Little Big Bites, which are corned beef, tuna, or spam and mayo in between pan de sal, and Halo-Halo are items offered only in the US locations of Jollibee and in other countries outside the Philippines.
