One of the country’s most popular bachelor and primetime TV actor Coco Martin revealed for the very first time the controversial results of the DNA test and the allegations that he has a child out of wedlock. Coco Martin spoke with Boy Abunda in an exclusive interview with “The Buzz,” during the first episode of the show’s return on air.
According to the 32-year-old Coco Martin, he took a DNA test to confirm whether that child of sexy actress Katherine Luna is his. He was quoted as saying “Dumating ‘yung time, nagshu-shooting ako ng ‘Born To Love You’ sa Luneta. Nandun ‘yung bata and ‘yung lola. Pumunta ako doon, kinausap ko. Ang gusto ko mangyari, gusto ko ibigay ‘yung best ko para sa magiging anak ko,” he said.
The award-winning former Indie Film actor Coco Martin added further that “Kinausap ko na ‘yung lola na parang kung maaari ibibigay na sa akin para mabigyan ko ng tamang guidance, para makatulong ako, para mabigyan ko ng pangangailangan niya. Sa sobrang excited ko, tinawagan ko ‘yung manager ko sabi ko nakausap ko ‘yung bata, sabi ko pwede ko na makuha yung bata. Sabi niya sa akin, ‘Teka lang hindi ganun kadali ‘yun. Kailangan idaan sa legal na sitwasyon.’ And then sabi niya, ‘Kung talagang gusto mo, kausapin natin, ipa-DNA muna natin,’” he continued.
Based upon the DNA test which was previously reported the results turned out to be negative, meaning he is not the father of the Katherine Luna’s son. The results according to Coco Martin was not a relief for him as it only brought back painful memories when Katherine Luna painted him as an “irresponsible father.”
According to the “Ikaw Lamang” star, he felt sorry for the child of Katherine Luna and noted that because of the harsh things that Katherine told him, his grandmother is now afraid to go out because of Coco’s irresponsibility as a father, but the reality he is not indeed the father of Katherine’s child.
Katherine Luna’s child is already eight years old now. Coco Martin and Katherine Luna knew each other during their early days in showbiz particularly doing various movies together in the independent film industry. The Kapamilya actor Coco Martin, however, clarified that they were never a couple and they never lived together.
