DOLE: May 1, 2014 Labor Day Nationwide Job Fairs (Requirements & Details)

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) headed by Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz released the requirements regarding the upcoming nationwide job fair as the nation gears up for the 112th Labor Day celebration on Thursday, May 1, 2014.

“Whether you are going to the job fair at the SMX Convention Center at the MOA in Pasay City, or to another job fair in a particular city or province, a basic requirement is to have your application documents ready as job opportunities in ‘key employment generator’ industries in all the 65 job fairs will be abundantly available on 1 May,” the DOLE secretary said.

Applicants are required to fill-up the registration forms to be provided on the nationwide job fairs, a total of 65 job fairs will be launch. Before May 1, 2014, applicants can also pre-register online via PhilJob.net website or manually through Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

The 2014 Labor Day celebration theme is “Sa Sipag, Tiyaga, at Talino, Buong Mundo Saludo sa Manggagawang Pilipino.” The Department of Labor and Employment aims to recognize the valuable contribution of all Filipino workers.

The nationwide job fairs are open to all unemployed, fresh college graduates, graduates of training institutions, skilled and unskilled workers, employees seeking advancement and displaced workers.

Here are the requirements for May 1, 2014 Labor Day Nationwide Job Fairs:

  • resume
  • 2 x 2 ID pictures
  • certificate of employment  (formerly employed applicants)
  • diploma
  • transcript of records
  • authenticated birth certificate
