Cedric Lee & Simeon “Zimmer Raz” Palma Presented to Public After Arrest

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) presented Cedric Lee and Simeon “Zimmer Raz” Palma to the public on Monday, April 28, 2014 after being arrested last Saturday.

According to NBI-National Capital Region Chief Elfren Meneses and Assistant Regional Director Jun De Guzman, the mauling suspects of Vhong Navarro have been at the NBI Detention Facility since Sunday, April 27, 2014.

Cedric Lee and Simeon “Zimmer Raz” Palama were arrested in a remote area in Oras, Eastern Samar on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at around 11 a.m. by the members of the NBI and with the cooperation of Eastern Samar Police.

NBI Deputy Director Rafael Ragos earlier said that Jed Fernandez, one of the accused in the mauling of actor-host Vhong Navarro last January 22, 2014 has sent “surrender feelers” to the NBI.

Based upon the reports, Jed Fernandez has applied to be a state-witness in the case of Vhong Navarro but reportedly backs out.

Cedric Lee, Simeon Palma, Jed Fernandez, Ferdinand Guerrero and Deniece Cornejo were ordered to be arrested in connection with the serious illegal detention case, a non-bailable case filed by Vhong Navarro and the National Bureau of Investigation.

Cedric Lee earlier filed a motion to post a bail for the charges but the jurisdiction of Department of Justice is currently on the process. During his appearance his first appearance on the public after his arrest, Cedric Lee kept mum and become evasive from media interviews.
