Manny Pacquiao Regained Pound For Pound Rankings After Defeating Bradley

Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao climbed in the latest pound-for-pound list posted by RingTV.com as he landed on the fourth spot after he regained his previous title, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Welterweight title held by the former undefeated American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr., last weekend.

The 35-year-old Manny Pacquiao is now ranked at the fourth spot by RingTV while Sports Illustrated placed Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao at No. 3 spot.

Based upon RingTV’s current pount-for-pound list, undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. dominated the list followed by Andrew Ward, Vladimir Klitscho, Manny Pacquiao, Tim Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Sergio Martinez, Guillermo Rigondeaux, Canelo Alvarez, and Carl Froch.

Manny Pacquiao’s victory against Timothy Bradley gave the American boxer his first loss as a professional boxer. The Future Hall of Fame boxer, Pacquiao received positive feedback from the boxing community.

Sports Illustrated even called Manny as “Pacquiao 2.0,” they noted that “This version of Pacquiao doesn’t apply the same relentless pressure, doesn’t intimidate opponents with crushing power, doesn’t win many fights by knockout.” “But this Pacquiao can still overwhelm with his activity and is difficult to outpoint.” Sports Illustrated noted.

According to boxing experts, “Manny Pacquiao’s victory over Tim Bradley proved that – a year and a half removed from a devastating knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez – he is still an elite fighter.”

In RingTV’s Welterweight rankings Manny Pacquiao overtook Tim Bradley as the No. 1 contender, while Bradley is at No. 2 but Floyd Mayweather Jr. remains as the champion in the welterweight division.
