Roxanne Cabanero-Sued

Slimmers World is demanding Roxanne Cabanero to pay P1 million “for the damage sustained by [the organization’s] goodwill and business reputation” and additional P400,000 for corrective damages and P205,000 as legal costs or approximately P1.6 million.

Helen Camacho, the executive vice-president of Slimmers World International told ABS-CBN News that the formal complaint was raffled on Friday, April 11, 2014 to Judge Max de Leon of Branch 143.

Slimmers World noted that the moral damages is due to Roxanne Cabanero’s unreasonable and repeated mention of Slimmers World International and Miss Bikini Philippines regarding her complaint against Vhong Navarro and in her media interviews.

“There is no mistaking that [Cabanero] made mention of Miss Bikini Philippines for no other purpose but to generated publicity, if not sympathy, for her purported plight, to the prejudice of the goodwill of [the pageant and the organization,” the complaint of Slimmers World stated.

Based on her complaint-affidavit, Roxanne Cabanero claimed that Vhong Navarro held an attempt on her on April 24, 2010. She added that the incident took place at Astoria Plaza Hotel in Pasig. In her subsequent interview, Cabanero changed the date and the place where the incident happened.

According to her previous statement, the incident allegedly happened between April 24-27, 2010 which took place at Millenia Suites. However, the complaint of Cabanero is contrary to the statement of comedian Vice Ganda who claimed that the Navarro attended a concert at the time.
