Malaya Watson, the lone Filipino-American singer to the American Idol 2014 Season 13 has stunned with her spectacular rendition of “Through The Fire” and her duet of “I Knew You Were Waiting”with C.J. Harris during the Round 2 (Redux) performances of Top 8 finalists.
The Top 8 finalists of American Idol 2014 also dominated on the singing competition after performing various hits from the 80’s.
Malaya Watson has gained positive compliment from the American Idol judges for her stunning rendition of Chaka Khan’s “Through The Fire” and her duet of “I Knew You Were Waiting” with C.J. Harris popularized by Aretha Franklin and George Michael.

During the recent elimination round of American Idol 2014 Top 8 finalists last week, Malaya Watson has been placed at the Bottom 3 along with C.J. Harris and Sam Woolf.
Sam Woolf was supposed to be eliminated on the competition but the judges; Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban used their “save” to help the singer p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed the elimination.
Here’s the verdict of American Idol 2014 judges:
Keith Urban: “Your vocal ability, it’s absolutely superb… Just chill out and coast through it.”
Jennifer Lopez: “You’re like our little baby. We all know how talented you are. You just need to relax up there.”
Harry Connick Jr.: “It sounded like the entire performance was geared toward (hitting the high note).”
