The Philippines Department of Education (DedEd) released the official school calender for the School Year (SY) 2014-2015. The Press Release was dated March 28, 2014 but it was released to the public just recently.
According to DepEd Order No. 18, series of 2014, the opening of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) shall be on Monday, June 02, 2014 while the last day of 2014-2015 School Year will be on March 27, 2015.
The DepEd Memo for SY 2014-2014 noted that “The School Calendar for School Year (SY) 2014-2015 reflects the school events and activities for the said SY. The core events and activities shall represent the actual teaching-learning days and shall be strickly observed in all schools” DepEd stated.
Meanwhile according to DepEd Secretary Armin Luistor, the School Year (SY) 2014-2015 will consist of 201 school days, inclusive of the five-day In-Service Training (INSET) break and the parent-teacher conferences.
Aside from the school calendar released by the DepEd, the different school events and activities including the number of school days per quarter were noted.
For the SY 2014-2015, the Christmas Break shall begin on Saturday, December 20, 2014 while cl(–foul word(s) removed–) will resume on Monday, January 5, 2015.
