HS standouts John Cauilan, Manuel Mosqueda Decide to Stay with NU

National University got more boost for their training pool for the coming UAAP season 77 as standouts of their junior squad John Paul Cauilan and Manuel Mosqueda finally committed for the Bulldogs.

The 6’2 Cauilan, who broke in the Mythical five, had an impressive senior year in the junior division, averaging 16.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

Cauilan and Mosqueda are two key members of the Bullpups, who clinched the juniors crown last year after completing a perfect 16-0 season capped by a finals sweep against Ateneo Eaglets being starred by Thirdy Ravena.

The versatile forward joined teammates Hubert Cani and Mark Dyke, Adamson’s Reinier Quinga and MVP Ravena in that esteemed group.

The 5’11 Mosqueda on the other hand is also promising as he has both prowess on both ends of the court and could play 1, 2 and 3 positions.

The two young wingmen should be a good addition for the Bulldogs who will lose the core of their players in the coming season led by Bobby Ray Parks.

Earlier, NU also had secured the commitment of high school stars Rev Diputado and Mohammed Salim.
