Ex-AFP Chief Biason Statement on Aldrin Jeff Cudia’s Case

On Tuesday March 18, 2014, according to Muntinlupa Rep. Rodolfo Biazon, dismissed cadet Aldrin Jeff Cudia should no longer pursue a career in the military since he would only face pressure from fellow soldiers.

With this controversy faced by Aldrin Jeff Cudia as he allegedly violated the Honor Code, former chief of Armed Forces of the Philippines (Ex-AFP) Rodolfo Biason, cited the cases of the two Honor Code violators who were still allowed to graduate in the year 1950’s, however he revealed that the soldiers resigned from the service after two years due to peer pressure.

Since Rodolfo Biazon feared that Aldrin Jeff Cudia will also suffered the same fate, as part of his advise during the press conference, the cadet should only get all his school documents and move on in his life not to pursue his military career but as civilian.

On March 16, 2014, the day of PMA’s graduation, Aldrin Jeff Cudia wasn’t able to march due to the allege Honor Code violation which prescribes that a cadet should not lie, cheat, steal or tolerate the same.

Philippine Military Academy believed that the dismissed cadet Aldrin Jeff Cudia violated the Honor Code as he supposedly lied regarding with the reason on why he got into a cl(–foul word(s) removed–) two minutes late.

As Aldrin Jeff Cudia defended himself against the accusation given to him by PMA, the aspiring soldier also charge the Philippine Military Academy honor committee of grave abuse of discretion after its members changed its 8-1 vote to 9-0.

Meanwhile, after studying and appealing to President Aquino with Aldrin Jeff Cudia’s case, still the military’s commander-in-chief did not reverse the cadet’s dismissal.

However, Aldrin Jeff Cudia sister Avee told ANC in previous interview, “Hindi po sa linalahat ko sila, pero may nagsabi na po sa kanila na humanda siya (Cudia) kapag na-comission siya, pagpapasapasahan namin siya.”
