The survivors of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) featured a one-of-a-kind dancing experience on the beat of Pharrell Williams hit single “Happy” from the movie “Despicable Me 2,” months after the devastation of Philippines’ strongest typhoon on record.
Despite of the tragic accident which happened last year, Filipinos all over the country particularly the residents of worst-hit Tacloban City, Leyte managed to stand still amid the destruction.
The latest dance craze uploaded on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 features the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda including the children and volunteers grooving with the toe-tapping single of Pharrell Williams.
The video uploaded on the world’s largest video sharing site has continues to dominate on views with more than 11,000 hits titled “Pharrell Williams – Happy – Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan.”
The video also garnered the praises of some netizens for the valuable strength of survivors despite of the tragic calamity which took the lives of thousands of Filipinos.
“Pharrell Williams – Happy – Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan” is a joint project of United Nations Development Programme-Philippines and the city of Tacloban.
The dance craze featuring the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda is directed and uploaded by Quentin Musset. The video vows to inspire Filipinos to stand still despite of the recent disaster.
Meanwhile, foreign and local nationals continues to uphold on the disaster victims with various fund-raising campaigns which aims to benefit the survivors. In fact, a concert recently conducted which generated funds for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
