Vice Ganda Airs Statement on Controversial Best Actor Award

Vice Ganda finally broke his silence after airing a statement due to his controversial Best Actor Award for his movie “Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy” at the recently concluded Star Awards for Movies organized by PMPC where he denied the vote-buying allegations of columnist Jobert Sucaldito.

Vice Ganda thanked the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies for his winning streak as the winner for highly coveted Best Actor Award during his return on “It’s Showtime” on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.

“Gusto kong magpasalamat sa PMPC Star Awards for my first acting trophy. Maraming- maraming salamat po ‘dun sa Best Actor na award na binigay nyo sa akin,” said Vice Ganda.

“Sobrang kontrobersyal ng award na ‘yan narinig ko, nabasa ko,” he said referring to the vote-buying  allegations of veteran journalist Jobert Sucaldito who claimed that Vice Ganda’s Best Actor Award was paid.

The vote-buying allegations of entertainment columnist Jobert Sucaldito has already circulated online. Despite, of the rearing criticisms against him, he reiterated that his complaint is not just a venture of opinion but rather a fact.

On the other hand, Vice Ganda added that he don’t want to issue any statement regarding the controversy. Instead, he gave a hug for his trophy after he receive it on the noontime show.

Meanwhile, PMPC has released their official statement refuting the allegations of Jobert Sucaldito against Vice Ganda’s Best Actor Award. The blockbuster-comedian failed to attend the awarding ceremony since he was in the United States for his concert.
