Bar Exam Results (October 2013) to be Release on March 18, 2014

The official results of the October 2013 Bar Examinations will be released  by the Supreme Court of the Philippines this coming Tuesday, March 18, 2014 according to a reliable source cited by The Manila Times.

The Philippine Bar Exam is considered as one of the most difficult examinations in the country with the percentage of p(–foul word(s) removed–)ers among the lowest in any exam results.

Bar Exam 2014

The Manila Times cited a reliable source noted that only 20 percent of those who took the 2013 Bar Examination p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed as reported by the newspaper on their March 9, 2014 edition.

The Supreme Court of the Philippines administered the Bar Exam on four Sundays of October 2o13, (October 6, 13, 21 & 27, 2013) at the University of Sto. Tomas in Metro Manila.

The Philippines highest court also noted that 5,641 law graduates who applied for the exam, only 5,593 actually took it, and only 5,293 completed the tests. Out of the total number of examinees only 20% of them p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed the exam, the current p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing rate is higher than the 17.76% p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing rate in 2012 Bar Examination.

The Supreme Court also announced the tentative oathtaking date of the October 2013 Bar Exam p(–foul word(s) removed–)ers is set on Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

During the 2012 Bar Examination, the Arellano University had the biggest number of examinees at 229 followed by the Ateneo de Manila University with 217 and the University of the Philippines with 200 takers.

The Bar Examination in the Philippines is conducted by the Supreme Court pursuant to Article VIII, Section 5 of the Philippine Constitution which states that the Supreme Court “Promulgate rules concerning the protection and enforcement of constitutional rights, pleading, practice, and procedure in all courts, the admission to the practice of law, the integrated bar, and legal (–foul word(s) removed–)istance to the underprivileged.” as stated in the 1987 Philippine Constitution.
