Philippines Accepts Offer to Host of FIBA 3×3 Asia Pacific Stop

Philippines will once again host another prestigious basketball tournament this year as the country took the offer of the FIBA to stage the Asia Pacific leg of the Fiba 3×3 World Masters Tour.

The development was revealed to Spin.ph by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas Executive Sonny but the proposal was already disclosed by SBP president Manny V. Pangilinan earlier.

The basketball world governing body has eyed the country to host the 3×3 Asian meet following our successful staging of the Fiba Asia Championship last August and its official now.

Representatives of our national team that will be sent in this 12-team competition are yet to be named.

Asia Pacific leg will be held on July 18-19, will grant berths to the World Tour Final.

The 3×3 World Masters was first launched in 2012. Five Masters tournaments consist this competition and qualifiers from each stop will play in the tour finals.
