Attending the preliminary investigation in behalf of Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee and his sister Bernice Lee was lawyer Atty. Arleo Magtibay who stated that his clients chose to attend instead another hearing in Taguig for their temporary protection order plea against Vhong Navarro.

Meanwhile in a separate report posted online, the Taguig court already denied the Temporary Protection Order request for Cornejo as it found no probable cause to grant the model’s plea in connection with the Violence Against Women and Children Act.

The lawyer of Cornejo and Lee (–foul word(s) removed–)ured to the Department of Justice (DOJ) panel that his clients would show up in the next hearing.

Meanwhile on Vhong Navarro’s part he already indicated earlier that he would be showing up in the preliminary probe explaining also that he is still so “emotionally and physically damaged” that he could not face his attackers just yet.

The Department of Justice panel submitted the complaint filed by Cornejo for resolution, after Navarro’s camp adopted the affidavit and evidence presented by the actor’s camp on his criminal complaint. The NBI also submitted CD copies of the CCTV footage taken inside the condo unit where Vhong was mauled.
