The final round of the American Idol Hollywood Week is now over with the Top 30 semi-finalist revealed to the public, after the contestants grueling rehearsals for the past few days.
The 16-year-old Malaya Watsaon continued to impress the judges of the show with her quirky personality although during the last Hollywood event she tries to perform her song “I Believe” a little bit shaky.
American Idol judge Harry Connick is so impressed with Malaya’s performance, he was quoted as saying “That name [Malaya] has great potential to be a star at some point,” says Harry. “You’re going to be in the Top 15 [girls]. Congratulations!” Harry Connick stated.
Jennifer Lopez on her part gave a standing ovation to Malaya Watson’s performance. Malaya Watson now secured her spot in the Top 30 of the American Idol 2014.
If Malaya Watson continue to impress the judges of the American Idol Season 13 she could possibly be on the right track to follow the footsteps left by Jessica Sanchez during the American Idol Season 11, wherein the singer landed as second runner-up to Phillip Phillips.
