Malaya Watson’s solo number performance song is titled “Brand New Me” while her fellow contestant Jena Ascuitto sang “Video Games” on American Idol 2014 Hollywood Week for their solo performances, they both accompanied themselves on the keyboard.
The 16-year-old Malaya Watson who hails from Michigan is an Aretha Franklin and Etta James fan and follower, she is rumored to be one of the Top 31 American Idol contestants.
Although little is known with this teenager her YouTube profile give some hint on what to expect from her as she continue her journey as an American Idol contestant.
During the Hollywood Performance of Malaya Watson she joins the group of Christina Collins, Olivia Diamond, and Queen Balls. The group sing “I Want You Back” by the famous Jackson 5.
The judges made their decision and announced that Christina Collins, Olivia Diamond, Queen Balls and Malaya Watson or all the members of the group will advance to the next round of the American Idol Season 13 competition.
