“Bride for Rent” featuring one of the country’s hottest love team, Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, kicked off its international screening in United States (US), Canada, and Australia. International showing already started in Canada last January 10, 2014.
“Bride for Rent” continues to dominate in box office ratings after the romantic comedy movie garnered P250 million on its 13-day nationwide screening.
“Bride for Rent” marked as the second movie team-up of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim after their tandem debuted on “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo” in 2013 with only P100 million box office earnings after two weeks theatrical run.
“Bride for Rent,” a certified blockbuster hit is directed by Mae Czarina Cruz, written by Carmi Raymundo and under the production of Star Cinema as part of its 20th anniversary.
“Bride for Rent” tackles the story of a woman named Rocky (Kim Chiu) whose in search for job landed to join in an audition called by Rocco (Xian Lim) who is looking for a woman to pretend to be his wife in order to get his trust fund from his grandmother (Pilita Corales).
Aside from Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, also starring in the movie are prominent actors including Tirso Cruz III, Dennis Padilla, Matt Evans, Martin del Rosario and with the special participation of Pilita Corales.
