According to People quoting a source confirming the engagement, “Of course they couldn’t be happier to be engaged and excited to share the rest of their lives together,” a source tells PEOPLE, adding that Amber Heard has “told close friends” the news.
The rumors of engagement between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard circulated earlier this week when 27-year-old Amber Heard was spotted with a ring on finger while dining out with friend, the photo was captured by a photographer.
In a separate report by Celebuzz, Johnny Depp proposed to Amber Heard on Christmas Eve, but the actress didn’t answer him right away. According to their source “Amber really took her time to make up her mind.” Amber Heard had already turned down Johnny Depp’s proposal before. Right now Amber answered “yes” but she waited and thinking about it for a long time.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard first met on the set of “The Rum Diary” and confirmed their relationship last June 2012. The 50-year-old Johnny Depp split from his former partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, earlier before he met Amber Heard.
