Fil-Am Sean Reyes First Asian American Attorney General of Utah (Video)

The first Asian American Attorney General of Utah is Filipino American Sean Reyes after he was sworn in office to hold a statewide post in the 45th State of the United States of America.

The 42-year-old Sean Reyes graduated from UC Berkeley and he was appointed to the post by Utah Governor Gary Herbert. Sean Reyes has Filipino and Spanish roots. He was born and raised in Southern California.

Prior to his work as Attorney General of Utah, Sean Reyes worked at a Utah media and technology company. He also worked as a small claims judge, and served in a National commission established by former President George W. Bush to advise to him on Hispanic American issues.

Attorney General Sean Reyes is the 21st Attorney General of Utah, he is a member of the Republican Party. He was sworn to office on December 23, 2013 after the resignation of former Utah Attorney General John Swallow.

The Fil-Am Attorney General received his Bachelors degree from BYU in 1994 and his law degree from UC Berkeley in 1997. Aside from being a former judge in the 3rd District of Utah, Sean Reyes is also a venture capitalist and partners at Accelerate Ventures.
