Feast of the Black Nazarene 2014 Procession & Traffic Route Scheme

The “Feast of the Black Nazarene” official procession and traffic route scheme was released earlier by Metropolitan  Manila Development Authority (MMDA) with exact route of the “translacion” which will culminate this coming Thursday, January 9, 2014.

The feast commemorates the black wooden sculpture of Jesus Christ, believed to survived after a catastrophic fire that destroyed the ship where the  sculpture on board from Mexico to Manila.

Recently, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada announced that all levels of Manila cl(–foul word(s) removed–) will be suspended on January 9 through Executive Order 41 undersigned by Erap Estrada.

Around 6, 000 personnel will be deployed including policemen to manage security, traffic and crowd control during the procession of barefoot Catholic devotees. The organizers of the annual feast are expecting millions of devotees to attend the procession.

Burgos, left Taft Ave.(P.Burgos) thru McArthur Bridge, right Palanca, thru under Quezon Bridge, left Quezon Blvd., right Fraternal, right Vergara, left Duque de Alba, left Castillejos, left farnecio, right Arlegui, left Nepomuceno, left Aguila, right Carcer, right Hidalgo thru Plaza Del Carmen, left Bilibid Viejo thru Puyat, left Guzman, right Hidalgo, left Barbosa, right Globo de Oro thru under Quezon Bridge, right Palanca, right Villalobos thru Plaza Miranda to Quiapo Church.
